La XXIII edizione del Festival Euro Mediterraneo ha avuto dunque inizio ieri Mercoledì 7 Giugno 2023, alle ore 21.00, con un acclamatissimo concerto inaugurale dedicato interamente alla musica di Antonio Vivaldi, di cui nella meravigliosa cornice del Parco dell’Appia Antica sono state eseguite integralmente Le quattro stagioni, il capolavoro strumentale barocco per eccellenza, con Corrado Stocchi al violino e maestro concertatore dell’Orchestra del Festival Euro Mediterraneo, formata da valenti solisti che ogni anno si riuniscono per suonare insieme.
Ma anche quest’anno il Festival Euro Mediterraneo sarà dedicato prevalentemente alla musica di Giacomo Puccini in vista dell’ormai imminente centenario della morte che verrà celebrata il prossimo anno nel 2024, proseguendo l’esecuzione della sua musica strumentale e cameristica, oltre che delle arie più famose delle sue opere, con particolare attenzione quest’anno al Trittico ovvero alle tre opere Il tabarro, Suor Angelica e Gianni Schicchi sotto la direzione d’orchestra di Lie Xincao. Ma non mancheranno anche omaggi a compositori come Sergej Rachmaninov in occasione del 150° anniversario della nascita e dell’80° anniversario della morte e Gyorgy Ligeti per il 100° anniversario dalla nascita. Numerosi i concerti che si svolgeranno tutti i giorni dal 7 al 21 Giugno nel Parco dell’Appia Antica, a pochi minuti dal centro storico di Roma, in una delle zone più verdi e più belle della città. Tra i tanti appuntamenti da non perdere, il 10 Giugno il Concerto “Barocchissimo” con Damiano Mercuri alla chitarra e al mandolino, e Stefano Sovrani alla guida dell’Orchestra del Festival Euro Mediterraneo, i concerti dedicati agli “Scherzi & Minuetti” e alle “Fughe & controfughe” di Giacomo Puccini, gli omaggi a Maria Callas nel 100° anniversario della nascita con i vincitori del Concorso Internazionale per voci liriche Vincenzo Bellini e ad Enrico Caruso nel 150° anniversario della nascita, l’atteso recital del pianista Ruben Micieli dedicato a Chopin, e il gran finale del Concerto per il Solstizio d’estate del 21 Giugno 2023 sempre alle ore 21 con l’esecuzione dei Carmina Burana di Carl Orff con i complessi del Festival.
Nel corso della sua storia, il Festival Euro Mediterraneo ha offerto spettacoli, eventi, concerti, opere, balletti, rappresentazioni teatrali in aree archeologiche italiane come le Grandi Terme di Villa Adriana, il Teatro Romano di Ostia Antica, il Teatro Romano di Catania, il Teatro Antico di Taormina, ma anche estere come il Teatro Romano di Aspendos in Turchia o il Teatro Romano di Erode Attico ad Atene, spesso con regie operistiche e concertistiche trasmesse in diretta televisiva dalle più importanti reti televisive internazionali e in mondovisione nelle sale cinematografiche con la regia di Enrico Castiglione. Complessi strumentali e cantanti da tutto il mondo nei luoghi della vita del compositore per celebrare il genio del Prete Rosso, rockstar ante litteram.

Dopo il grande successo delle sue prime due edizioni, torna a Venezia il Vivaldi Festival, la prestigiosa manifestazione nata nel 2021 per iniziativa di Enrico Castiglione in occasione del 1600° anniversario della fondazione della Serenissima per rendere omaggio al suo figlio musicale più illustre, Antonio Vivaldi, nella sua città natale, promosso dal Ministero della Cultura con il patrocinio della Regione del Veneto e del Comune di Venezia, inserito nel calendario delle Città in Festa, in partnership con le maggiori istituzioni veneziane tra cui l’Istituto Italiano Antonio Vivaldi, l’Accademia Vivaldi e la Fondazione Cini, la Ra e il portale www.musicalia.tv.
La terza edizione del Vivaldi Festival sarà inaugurata il prossimo 24 giugno alla Chiesa di San Giovanni in Bragora, dove Vivaldi fu battezzato e celebrò messa, per poi concludersi il 28 luglio, giorno del 282° anniversario della morte del grande compositore veneziano, introducendo fin dal 21 giugno una serie di appuntamenti pomeridiani con la musica di Antonio Vivaldi che si terranno ogni giorno alle 15.30 alla Basilica della Salute fino alla conclusione della manifestazione.
Il programma della terza edizione del Vivaldi Festival, dedicato quest’anno soprattutto alla riscoperta della musica strumentale virtuosistica, ad oggi ancora del tutto conosciuta ed eseguita, con concerti strumentali e vocali tutti nel segno di Vivaldi proposti nei luoghi vivaldiani per eccellenza: come la Chiesa di San Giovanni in Bragora, dove Vivaldi fu battezzato, la Chiesa della Pietà, nel cui orfanotrofio Vivaldi fu maestro e animatore instancabile, nonché nelle più antiche chiese e basiliche e nei più importanti palazzi storici della città, come Palazzo Grimani, Palazzo Lolin, le scuole di San Rocco e di San Giovanni Evangelista, la Chiesa di San Salvador, la Basilica di San Francesco della Vigna, la Chiesa di San Salvador. Una festa della musica nel segno della straordinaria vitalità musicale di Vivaldi e dei luoghi simbolo della Città di Venezia.
Ad inaugurare il Vivaldi Festival, sabato 24 Giugno, alle ore 19 alla Chiesa di San Giovanni in Bragora, le violiniste Luisa Bassetto e Francesca Balestri, insieme all’organista Paola Talamini, accompagneranno il soprano georgiano Anara Abulkhassanova e il contralto Marta Codognola nello Stabat Mater RV 621 scritto da Antonio Vivaldi nel 1712 per essere eseguito come parte della Festa dei Sette Dolori di Maria Vergine a Brescia, proponendo anche il Mottetto per soprano ed archi RV 630 Nulla in mundo pax sincera e i due rari Concerto per mandolino e archi RV 425 e il Concerto per violino e organo RV 541, che oltre a dare il via ufficialmente alla terza edizione del Festival saranno l’evento di punta della Festa di San Giovanni in Bragora, festa veneziana amatissima che celebra la Chiesa in cui Vivaldi fu battezzato e dove il cosiddetto Prete Rosso, come Vivaldi veniva chiamato per via della sua chioma fulva, celebrava le poche messe tenute durante la sua vita.

Tutti i giorni, alle ore 15.30, la musica di Antonio Vivaldi riecheggerà tra le volte maestose della Basilica della Salute, grazie all’impegno dell’organista Paola Talamini, che eseguirà dal 21 giugno al 28 luglio (ogni giorno alle 15.30 e con esclusione delle sole giornate del sabato e della domenica) numeri vivaldiani sull’organo settecentesco Dacci, sempre rigorosamente ad ingresso gratuito: un’imponente maratona dedicata a Vivaldi mai organizzata e mai offerta prima a Venezia.

Sulle Sacre Pietre – Mostra fotografica sulla Norma https://www.enricocastiglione.it/en/sulle-sacre-pietre-mostra-fotografica-sulla-norma/ Mon, 24 Oct 2022 08:31:40 +0000 https://www.enricocastiglione.it/?p=1610 Inaugurerà il 23 settembre, in contemporanea alla prima serata musicale del Bellini Festival, la mostra intitolata Sulle sacre pietre: Castiglione e la Norma al Teatro Antico di Taormina, in programma a Palazzo Biscari di Catania fino al 3 novembre, giorno della conclusione della XIV edizione della prestigiosa manifestazione dedicata a Vincenzo Bellini a Catania, sua città natale.
La mostra, a cura di Dominik Giliberto, presenta le più belle immagini tratte dalla messa in scena dell’opera Norma di Vincenzo Bellini realizzata nel 2012 al Teatro Antico di Taormina con la regia di Enrico Castiglione nell’ambito della quarta edizione del “Bellini Festival”, trasmessa in diretta dalla RAI quale inaugurazione delle trasmissioni in digitale di RAI 5 in Sicilia, oltre che in diretta via satellite in mondovisione in oltre 700 sale cinematografiche in tutta Europa.
Una produzione di grande successo del capolavoro belliniano firmata da Enrico Castiglione come regista teatrale e regista della diretta televisiva e cinematografica, nonché scenografo dell’allestimento, che nel 2012 ha stabilito in diretta uno dei record di RAI 5 per la lirica, oltre ad esser vista in diretta da migliaia di persone nei cinema di tutta Europa. Enrico Castiglione, fondatore del Bellini Festival a Catania nel 2009, è tra i registi di fama internazionale che maggiormente si sono distinti nella valorizzazione delle opere di Vincenzo Bellini, non solo nella sua città di Catania, ma anche nel mondo: tra i numerosi allestimenti, sua è la regia della prima messa in scena in assoluto della Norma di Bellini in Cina, rappresentata a Shenzen per la prima volta nel 2013.
Il BELLINI FESTIVAL dal 2009 rende omaggio a Vincenzo Bellini a Catania, sua città natale, coinvolgendo i luoghi storici dove lo stesso grande compositore mosse i suoi primi passi, iniziando sepmre nel giorno in cui ricorre l’anniversario della sua morte, il 23 Settembre, per poi concludersi il 3 Novembre, nel giorno dell’anniversario della sua nascita, con il tradizionale Concerto al Duomo, dove a Catania riposano le sue spoglie mortali.
Fondato dal regista e scenografo Enrico Castiglione insieme all’allora Provincia di Catania (oggi Città Metropolitana di Catania), in collaborazione con il Comune di Catania, la Regione Siciliana, l’E.A.R. Teatro Massimo Bellini, l’Università degli Studi di Catania, la Camera di Commercio e l’Arcivescovado, il festival è stato riconosciuto di rilevanza turistica dalla Regione Siciliana Assessorato al Turismo Sport e Spettacolo e da sempre inserita nel Calendario delle grandi manifestazioni turistiche della stessa Regione Siciliana. Ha inoltre ricevuto il riconoscimento ufficiale del Ministero della Cultura accedendo ufficialmente già dallo scorso anno ai fondi del F.U.S. (Fondo unico dello Spettacolo) e da quest’anno ai fondi triennali che vengono assegnati dall’apposita commissione governativa ai grandi festival italiani di riconosciuto prestigio.
La manifestazione ha conquistato la scena internazionale grazie anche alle continue dirette televisive e nei cinema dei propri allestimenti operistici, molti dei quali dal Teatro Antico di Taormina fino al 2017, alla partecipazione delle grandi star della musica e dell’opera e alle prestigiose coproduzioni operistiche internazionali.
La XIV edizione del Bellini Festival, promosso dalla Fondazione Festival Belliniano insieme al portale televisivo www.musicalia.tv, prenderà il via dal Teatro Metropolitan e si svolgerà in vari luoghi della Città di Catania, dalla Badia di Sant’Agata a Palazzo Biscari, dalle chiese  al Teatro Metropolitan, per poi concludersi  il 3 Novembre 2022, come da tradizione, alla Cattedrale di Sant’Agata, il Duomo di Catania, dove riposano le spoglie mortali di Vincenzo Bellini, di cui quest’anno si festeggia il 221° anniversario dalla sua nascita.

Si tratta di un vero e proprio film opera prodotto dalla Pan Dream e Rising Alternative che sarà trasmesso in diretta in oltre 500 sale cinematografiche in tutta Europa e in differita subito dopo negli Stati Uniti e in Asia: in oltre 35 paesi, dall’Inghilterra, alla Spagna, dalla Polonia alla Francia, dalla Germania all’Irlanda, dall’Olanda, Repubblica Ceca, dalla Russia alla Svizzera. Enrico Castiglione realizzerà il film in diretta avvalendosi di ben 12 video camere per la prima volta a Taormina in 4K.

Un vero classico della storia della lirica, la Bohème di Giacomo Puccini immortala le passioni ardenti di giovani artisti bohèmien che lottano per amare, creare e sopravvivere nella prima metà del XIX secolo a Parigi. Con la regia di Enrico Castiglione, La Bohème sarà rappresentata nell’ineguagliabile palcoscenico del Teatro Antico di Taormina con l’Etna e la pittoresca costa siciliana come sfondo. Il direttore è Li Xincao mentre il soprano emergente Karen Gardeazabal debutta nel tragico ruolo di Mimì. Ai costumi Sonia Cammarata.
